Your guide to Building on a Budget

Siding

The siding you choose for your project may be determined by what you already have if it's an addition. If a new project, Check into Concrete composite siding. It looks like wood and wears like concrete. Very durable siding.

T 1-11 is a plywood product and doubles as sheer panel.

We use Split log siding in many of our mountain projects. This has little shear quality and must go over OSB or structural plywood.

And then there is stucco. I call a contractor for this. I have done it, don't like it and am not good at it. And I use it very little. One of our stucco experienced associates will write about it. And we will have some reports on very cool siding ideas here soon.
